For me, the private women's thermal baths (like in the photo above) are the best things about this place. I stay in there for hours. So beautiful. So tranquil. It's like being in a temple. It is a very spiritual experience. Of course, the water is amazing. And the private plunge pool is wonderful to cool off in between sessions in the hot pools. So perfect when few others are in there and I have the place to myself. I like to spend a couple of days in this plac before heading off to Heviz (thermal) Lake(which you have reviewed on this site also) for a three week intensive spa retreat, chalk full with thermal soaking and body treatments. The Gellert, though, on either side of my retreat, is a must. Private women's area here is the BEST!!!

I've gone two years in a row, for three weeks solid, to spend time soaking up the minerals in this lake. I love it. So pure. I would love to live in this town, so that I could soak for an hour every day ~

Hi
I have been trying to find contact information to book some beauty treatments for my up and coming stay at the end of August, however have had no luck finding anything. Does anyone know how to contact the 'Emporium Beauty Salon 'within the Heviz Spa complex?
Would appreciate any help.

I do not think that this really deserves a 4-star rating. Could not bring our dog there and there were fleas in the bathroom.

Just to update, I was there last week and the top temperature for the whirlpool is now listed at 36 C. It actually felt a little hotter.

Just a quick update. A year on from this review and really nothing has changed. This has to be the easiest baths to get lost in. The prices are relatively high for Hungary and the layout is so confusing expect to spend your first hour just finding the changing facilities and getting your bearings.
Worst aspect for me was having to climb up three floors over the indoor pool to swipe in my barcoded bracelet before climbing back down another three floors of water soaked tiled stairs to get to the pool. Totally inappropriate and it indicates a place that seems to put the convenience of the staff well ahead of that of the customers.
Being whistled at for taking my kids into the thermal baths outdoor didn't help, application of rules seems arbitrary and in some places the locations of signs means that there is really no chance to even read the rules.
In summer it seems like a good facility but the layout bad signage really ruined it for me, back to Agard I think.

I was really astonished about the lake itself, it was beautiful, and the feeling was great, however it was not as warm as I thought(around body heat). At least it was good for swimming. We did not know that children were not allowed, so it was a bit problematic, but fortunately there were plenty of opportunities in the hotel. We stayed here: Heviz Thermal Hotel
